A page's address is part of every link to it. Change Web Address moves the page and puts every link the site holds on the new address, and the old address keeps forwarding, so links people saved, printed or shared still arrive.
Open the page, press the button at the right-hand end of the page frame, and choose Change Web Address.
Type the new address.
Lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens, as for a new page. It is refused if another page has it, if the site uses it for something of its own, or if it is an old address already forwarding to a different page.
Read what will be updated, then press Change Address.
Before anything moves, the pop-up lists what links to the page: the Header menu, the Footer, the docking bar, buttons on other pages and in their saved changes, shared and ready-made sections, campaign pop-ups, and staff given this page. All of it is moved with the page, along with its saved changes and its history. The page opens again at its new address.
To see what forwards here, choose Old Addresses in the same menu.
Each old address is listed with where it goes. The delete button beside one stops it forwarding - only worth doing when you want that address for another page.
Only an Admin can change an address, and not for Home, the application pages (Store, Events, Team...) or pages whose address is built into the site, such as Contact and Give - the item is there but switched off, and says why.
Links outside the site - an email already sent, a printed card - still use the old address and arrive by forwarding. Search engines and link previews are told the page has moved after the next release of the site.
Stopping an old address forwarding breaks every link that still uses it: they get Page Not Found.
If the move is interrupted, the page is still at its old address. Choose Change Web Address again - it offers to finish the move where it stopped.
